This is an independent guide to all 44 open UTCs in England, not any UTC's own website. If you want to apply, arrange a visit or ask about a specific place, contact the college directly — every entry here links to its official site.
Corrections
Email hello@mathsschools.co.uk with:
- which UTC, and the exact detail that's wrong;
- what it should say — specialism, partner, entry age, size, Ofsted position;
- a link we can cite, ideally the college's own page.
A guide covering this many colleges will drift as partners change and inspections land. Corrections with a source are the fastest way to fix that, and they get done quickly.
A note on Ofsted grades
Inspections carried out from September 2024 no longer give a single overall grade, so some entries here show category judgements and no headline rating. That is not a missing rating and not an unfavourable one — it reflects how the college was actually inspected. If your entry shows this and you think the presentation misleads, tell us and we will look at the wording.
Closed and converted colleges
Our closures page covers UTCs that closed, merged or converted. It is there because the pattern matters to anyone choosing a UTC today, not to embarrass anyone. If a detail there is wrong, the same correction route applies.
Who runs this
UTC Guide is part of a small family of independent, AI-assisted school-research sites published alongside mathsschools.co.uk. It's funded by display advertising and nothing else — no college pays to be listed or to be described favourably.
