Notable
- Officially opened in April 2017 by Prince William and Prince Harry, in their capacity as patrons of the mental-health charity Heads Together — an unusually high-profile launch for a UTC.
- Sponsored by Global, the media company behind Capital, Heart and Classic FM; students run an in-house online radio station and TV channel called Youths Choice.
- Housed in the Old Vinyl Factory in Hayes, a redeveloped former EMI/HMV vinyl pressing plant.
- Opened with an initial intake of around 300 pupils against an eventual planned capacity of 800, and is still growing toward that figure.
- Since Ofsted stopped issuing single overall effectiveness grades in September 2024, its March 2025 inspection produced a split result: Good for quality of education and leadership, but Outstanding for behaviour, personal development and sixth-form provision.
